Upright clumps of slender (1/2" wide) bluish green leaf blades, turning yellow in fall. Golden panicles emerge above the foliage late summer to early fall. Can grow to 3' or higher with inflorescence.

About Sorghastrum: Sorghastrum is a native grass that is useful by itself, as a specimen in the mid to back of border or grouped together to create a living fence or screen.
