About Polypodium: Polypodium is common on shady rocks, in woods and mountains throughout the U.S., so it is perfect for naturalizing in a wooded area. The fronds rise from a network of spreading, mat-like rhizomes. Fully appreciative of well-drained soil, it’s important they not be placed in too wet a spot as they can develop fungal disease.
