About Penstemon: Penstemon is a much loved American native known to bloom a long period of time when spent flowers are removed. The dwarf varieties are particularly suited to rock and alpine gardens (troughs) or at the front of your border, while the taller varieties can stand alone or grouped together. As an added bonus, they are great as a cut flower and attract butterflies.
