Eryngium planum ‘Jade Frost’ PP17370   

One of the first variegated Sea Hollies, the leaves of this variety are blue-green with prominent white margins that take on a pink cast with cool temperatures. Grows 6-8” tall with a 14” spread. Violet blue globe flowers, surrounded by spiny bracts, bloom on 24-30” tall spikes in mid-summer above the foliage rosettes. An exciting new addition to one of the hardiest, most reliable, long-lived Eryngium species.

About Eryngium: Eryngium is a most unusual plant. The coarse, spiny leaves provide texture and interest to the garden all summer. The flowers are elongated, cone-like and come in white to steel blue. Dwarf forms are great in rock or alpine gardens. Great for fresh or dry arrangements.
