Epimedium x versicolor ‘Sulphureum’

One of the hardiest Epimediums, with 8-10” sulphur yellow to butter yellow flowers in spring. The spring green leaves are attractively edged in a burgundy-red mosaic pattern. Performs best in dry shade.

    Common Name:Barrenwort
    Hardiness Zones:4-8
    Deer Resistant:Yes
Growing Tips: Plant in moist, well drained soil that is high in organic matter.

About Epimedium: Epimedium tends to be overlooked and underutilized. These tough little plants can grow under trees where many other species perish. Effective as a groundcover or tucked into the garden. In spring, dainty, nodding flowers appear above heart shaped leaves, adding a nice touch to any woodland scene.
