Asperula nitida ssp. hirtella   

This Turkish native has masses of pale pink to rose pink tubular flowers blooming all summer on 2-8" tall by 20" wide cushions of dark green, needlelike foliage. Exceptional in hypertufa troughs as it grows from limestone areas in Turkey.

About Asclepias: Asperula is a large genus with many species. The most well known of the group is Sweet Woodruff. These well-behaved little gems are easy to grow and easy to work with. Small flowered yet strong bloomers, they are a delight in any garden situation. The flowers are mostly white or light pink, however there are a few pale yellow varieties.
