Sunny Border's own Jeremy Webber receives the 2011 Young Nursery Professional of the Year Award

We are proud to announce that our Director of Field Operations, Jeremy Webber, has received this years award for Young Nursery Professional from the New England Nursery Association (NENA). The award was presented at the CNLA Winter Symposium in Wallingford, CT on January 13.

Born and raised in South Carolina, Jeremy majored in Marine Biology for one year at the College of Charleston until realizing it was not his true calling. After recognizing his true passion for plants and horticulture, he began attending Trident Technical College and received an A.S. in Horticulture in 2002. Shortly thereafter, Jeremy moved to Connecticut and has held positions with American Landscape Service, Prides Corner Farm and Canterbury Horticulture. He joined the CNLA shortly after moving to CT to gain more knowledge of the industry while offering his botanical and technical knowledge to advance the efforts of the CNLA.

As Director of Field Operations here at Sunny Border Nurseries, Jeremy does a phenomenal job overseeing our day to day operations, while ensuring the quality of our extensive plant inventory. His experience in the areas of propagation, production, plant care, database management, marketing and sales has been an integral part of our success. We applaud this outstanding achievement and look forward to what his passion and expertise will bring in the future!
